
Euphresco is a network of organisations funding and coordinating national research in the phytosanitary field. We foster international collaboration by developing a common strategic research agenda and initiating transnational research collaboration through annual calls. Furthermore, Euphresco aims to provide the scientific evidence required to support national and international policy. It was founded as a phytosanitary ERA-Net financed by the EU Commission from 2006 to 2014. Since then, it has existed as a self-sustaining network and currently comprises over 70 members from more than 50 countries worldwide. The network is hosted by the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organisation (EPPO) with its headquarters in Paris, France. EPPO is an international organization responsible for cooperation and harmonization in plant protection within the European and Mediterranean region. Under the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC, Article IX), EPPO is the Regional Plant Protection Organization (RPPO) for the Euro-Mediterranean region.
To head the Euphresco Network Office and provide comprehensive administrative support to the Network Management Group (NMG), we are currently seeking a highly organized and motivated professional for the position of Euphresco Coordinator.
The tasks are defined by the Rules of the Network and include the following:

The Euphresco Coordinator will be appointed by EPPO as Scientific Officer and be based in the EPPO Headquarter in Paris. Some flexibility for working from home is available.
The selected candidate will be offered a three-year contract with EPPO (for 80%) with a
9-months’ probation period. Terms and conditions are based on those of UNESCO adapted to the needs of EPPO. The salary paid will be
based on the UNESCO P3 salary scale. Net of tax and deductions this will be at least 63,000 EUR per annum.
EPPO participates in the UN Joint Staff Pension Fund, the French Social Security system
and a supplementary health insurance scheme.
For staff recruited outside France, removal costs and a settling-in
grant are payable. Based on the agreement between EPPO and the French government, EPPO will arrange a work permit
for the post, if needed, and a permit allowing dependents to reside in France, if applicable, and needed.
